To celebrate Maisonneuve's Summer 2011 issue, which features the Halifax comedy group Picnicface, we're hosting a night of improv, stand-up and comic readings.

FEATURING:

An improv set by METEOR. Veteran improvisers Sean Michaels, Marc Rowland and BJ Walsh have appeared in Without Annette, the Bitter End, Way the Hell Off Broadway, and Venezuela, plus performances at the Chicago, Toronto and Victoria Improv Festivals, and multiple Montreal Fringe fests.

Stand-up by DUNCAN LINKS. Erstwhile Montrealer Duncan Links returns home with his trademark absurdist stand-up. Keywords: sexy furniture, Black Panthers, calling your dad a motherfucker.

A reading by CHANDLER LEVACK. Maisonneuve contributor and hilarious lady Chandler Levack writes "slut poetry" (not really).
